Movement + Meditation

"Light and shadow are opposite sides of the same coin. We can illuminate our paths or darken our way. It is a matter of choice."

-Maya Angelou

My personal relationship with a dynamic Movement + Meditation is currently under revision and brings me to a space where I am re-evaluating how I offer movement. I will be candid when I say movement + meditation has positively impacted my personal well-being and is why I continue to impart these teachings as a sacred gift. This rhythmic movement + meditation practice gives the opportunity to widely spread developing awareness in all aspects of Being through the study of yoga. While all schools of yoga focus on the realization of oneness through unity and an elevation of spiritual consciousness, this practice proves to be a dynamic, active and powerful tool designed to give you an experience of your soul.

In Kundalini Movement + Meditation, we harness the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body and put them under the domain of the will, which is the instrument of the soul. This technology precisely and consciously combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the vibrational sound current that you are. It brings supreme balance to the body, mind, and soul.

Yoga Nidra

Fast-paced living, advanced technology, cultural, environmental and social pressures are known to cause high levels of stress as we disconnect with our nature and bury ourselves in an unconscious state of mind. We lose focus, take on too much and have a tendency to live in the future and/or past which can—over time—wreak extreme havoc on our mental processes, bodies and soul.

Yoga Nidra—or Yogic Sleep—is a supreme maintenance service where we have the opportunity to relax and fully rest while exploring the nuances of the bodies on an intuitive level. Through the practice of Yoga Nidra, we are able to free ourselves from unconscious thought and emotional trigger responses so our true awareness emerges and amplifies, allowing for clear and unpolluted quality of life.

The practice of Yoga Nidra is typically practiced lying down in a supported and comfortable manner and not only offers rich and deep relaxation and reduces mental, emotional and physical stress.  This practice allows the brain to reset by breaking old patterns and instating new healthy ones, this proves to be a powerful healing and restorative practice on a very multi-dimensional and holistic soul level.

Sound Meditation

Sound Medicine holds the innate capacity and powerful means to heal on an expressive and visceral level as it moves us from a place of imbalance, to balance and alignment.  Illness and disease are caused by energy blocks and stagnation in the body leaving imprints and the manifestation of dis-ease in the physical and mental realms. Vibration—created by sound waves—moves through space in our body seeking masses of congestion caused by inertia and begins to break down, dissolve and make way for our energy lines and centers to allow for the natural flow of pranic energy.

Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, chimes, tuning forks, rattles, voice, the drum and gong are intuitively used to break up dense energies as you are invited to journey through the Koshas to evoke a holistic balance, restoration and overall, optimal body health.

Cha Dao

“Approach the tea ceremony with some intention, unaffected, and establish some peace and quiet in your day. Eventually, somewhere down the Road, all the elements will just fall into place, and perhaps when it is least expected, your true nature--whether expressed as the virtues of Quietude, Presence, Clarity, and Completion or not--will shine forth, ringing your liquor in gold.”

- Wu De

Cha is the Chinese expression for Tea, and it symbolizes the union between plant and Human Being as both are essential ingredients in the formation of Cha. Dao, meaning the "Way," honours the principles of balance, grace, stillness, quietude, mindfulness, simplicity and harmony with nature.

Dao relates to the organic way of the universe as it unfolds and weaves in with Human life offering balance and in accordance with the universal laws of nature, which is a representation of everything.

The Way of the Tea--Cha Dao--is an ancient practice amongst the lineage of tea sages, masters and teachers. The practice integrates Tea as a plant medicine for the mind, body and soul. Tea teaches us about simplicity, refinement, purity, connection, groundedness and the eloquent continuum of nature itself. In silence, we sit and experience the full embodiment of all that is. Through the senses, we experience and align with the elements and subtle essence of our Being. We recenter, anchor, expand as a welcoming gift of the Tea.

Tea teaches us to remember who we are and forget what we think we are. It reminds us what does not add takes away, that our experience of life and its vastness is effervescent, ever-expansive and eternal. We remember to open and lead from a blooming heart. We remember to share wisdom and create awareness by witnessing thought and emotion as something that is not who we are but what we experience.

A Tea Ceremony is designed to deepen the connection between sentient beings, with nature and Spirit through tradition and ancestral wisdom.
